Well it`s no suprise really. I think alot of people were expecting them to do something like this. I`m sure it`s just the first of a whole heap of insults they`re going to throw at Bill and the guys. ( though I really hope not! It`s a shame to let it come to this. )
Pfft.
They`re crazy if they don`t think we can read between the lines and see what this is really about!

My jaw just dropped to the ground. I can't believe they actually sank to the level to print rubbish like that! First of all, Tokio Hotel is a band so how does that make Bill the loser? *pfft* Secondly, the cheek to go into money issues by branding him a millionaire as if he would swim in his Euros like Dagobert Duck. Excuse me, but I find it inappropriate to mention it like this and that context. Makes him sound like a horrible greedy person that would bleed out the poor.
But most importantly, who did this obviously lousy research on the topic? Or does Bravo really not care about what rubbish they try to make the youth believe to turn them against Tokio Hotel who still, btw, help them a lot to sell their magazine. Is it really more important to be on this power trip trying to proof it in some kind of "we made you and we can break you" attitude. Please. Grow up. This whole thing refers to an open letter addressed to the German chancelor, a letter that was in the name of approx. 200, yes 200*!*, artists including big names like Herbert Grönemeyer, Ralph Siegel, Bernd Eichinger, Til Schweiger etc etc. So not only covering musicians, but also producers, actors and TV show hosts. Obviously it was an open letter and therefore open for discussion which was done, e.g. by a jurist called Prof. Hoeren. He pointed out that he's fed up with the cheek of the German music industry and when paying attention to where this letter originated one could find at its end, in small print that it was issued by the German Association of Music Industry (that's just a literal translation, I don't know if that's the right term to use in English). However, according to him the music industry would have an image problem and it would be easier to use names like Tokio Hotel because it would help to encourage discussion. Basically he's saying that the letter wouldn't be about protecting the creativity and rights of artists because they've already released those rights to the music industry so the industry would only be thinking about its own advantages. (it's German but just to show that I didn't make this up, here's the source, an interview with Prof. Hoeren) It's all politics and I'm not going to pretend I understand any of it but this is a poor thing of Bravo to do, to put Tokio Hotel, or I should say Bill, on the spot like that for something that he personally has not much - if anything - to do with. Boo, Bravo, boo. Let's all pout a bit and sulk together with them, shall we? ;D

I actually didn`t know as much as what you just posted Susi - so thank`s for a little more insight.
I really wish I could say I`m suprised. The problem with magazines / tabloids etc, is that they`re only happy when the celebs are doing what they want them to do.
I just hope no one will take any of it too seriously.

yes exactly i heard it was like a celebrity petition so singling out bill like that to create some sort of revenge vendetta is highly pathetic and pretty inappropriate for a magazine that apparently supports them
bit of a stab in the back tbh.

And just as I thought they couldn't sink much lower! That's really lame of them to put Bill on the spot like that! I'm like lost for words at the moment... Will re-post when I have some... It's been a long day...

I hope they get some feedback regarding this... and I mean feedback that's not agreeing but sticking up for Tokio Hotel, of course. ;D

Oh, wow, so easy to predict, Bravo. Nice one.
Some kind of row has gone on between Bravo and TH, that's for sure, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's because they didn't prioritise the BSS and went to America instead. It's all so...petty. TH have a world to conquer - they can't always be at Bravo's beck and call.
I wonder what Bravo will print next. I mean, they know TH sells magazines, so TH will continue to feature in some way, but I have a feeling the negativity isn't over.
I really wonder what editorial meetings at Bravo are like. One week celebrating their US success, the next week looking so hard for something negative they come up with the most tenuous of links.

Didn't someone say that they can predict bad things written about TH in Bravo because of this stupid award thing? Well they were right: "Nothing but money-hungry or what? Tokio Hotel have written a miserable letter to the chancellor Angela Merkel. That is to say, millionaire Bill Kaulitz (18) fears that he doesn’t get enough in his account anymore due to illegal internet downloads. The country should now hunt down the girls who cannot afford expensive Tokio Hotel things with their 15-Euro pocket money. A punishment for true fans!" Oh, oh now you're gunna act like some lifeless *beeeeeeeeeeeeep*s that are miffed at your fave band being in a freign country? Well that's NO fxcking excuse to fxcking bitch about them because they'd NEVER do that to their fans! WTF are you trying to do to them? I used to like you, Bravo. But since Cinema Bizarre came into the scene you didn't wanna know about CB and now, you're bitching about TH just because they weren't at your awards ceremony! Boo Hoo. How predictable you are, Bravo.

Yeah, I mean I got an issue of Bravo when I went to Spain and what I could understand... They were supportive of the Band being in the States. It's a poor show from Bravo and they need to grow up!

Yes they do... Leela: I saw all the people to signed that letter thingy, and I'm shocked to read so many familiar names, but which one were they supporting? The reply or the original?

Some fans even cancelled their subscriptions? Wow, I think that's good comittment to the band. Ha ha, I also sent a mail to Bravo last night, stating how disappointed I was about the poor statement and how many fans were speculating when something negative like this would appear in the mag because we got the impression they seemed to be miffed at the band for whatever reason. I tried to keep it short... but yeah, most of you know I often fail at that. Turned out to be one page in Word. I seriously hope they take the criticism from fans to heart and will think their next critising article about the band at least relevant.

Where was the supershow on?

I`m glad the fans are stepping up to support the guys in this. Bravo shouldn`t have underestimated their loyalty to the band. I also sent an email to them stating my disgust at such a cheap shot, and suggested they apologize to Bill immediately. Doubt they will, but that doesn`t mean they shouidn`t!
