This may sound sad coming from a fourteen year old.
+I think that schools should teach more about caring for others and peoples feelings, I know theres already Citezenship classes starting around. Theres too many bullying, sniggering at other kids and such. To be honest, I don't think anything will change that way of 'teenage school life', but it could be a start. Recently I told Sian about a new Guy in my class, he got moved classes (because of bullying), but our whole class is making a joke out of him. It's really ... manic.
+The whole thing Liz mentioned.
I know what you mean, here at my school 'Trinity CHS', we are pretty strict. We'd had big trips such as:
-Assisi Gospel Drama club trips
-Paris/Italy Music trips
-Austria/Colorado Skiing trips
-Glasebury active trips
The thing is, the schools are so busy and don't want time spent on little trips, but more time spent on sitting in a classroom reading and writing. But yeah, there should be more little trips involved, add a hint of fun for the others?
+I'd like to see schools have a more wider variety of choices for languages. My school only do French and Spanish. I chose French, and I didn't pick French for my future GCSE plans because I've been teaching myself German. I think it's pretty boring that you just have French and Spanish and German. Add other languages? (I know some private schools have Russian and such).
I know its all about money, time, imployees, amount of rooms. =/
You can also learn more about cultures!
EDIT:
+More facilities for lunchtime.
Not sure about your school(s). We only have:
-the playground to sit in, walk around or play football in.
-the school to walk around in or sit in.
-the library with some moany groaner lady.
Hmm ... so what would I like ... ?
Some relaxing area where you can just sit in there without people walking over your legs, passing you by, being near a door that chucks gastly winds at you.
Like a room with sofas or something for lunchtimes.
Come to think of it ... it would just end up being packed with the WHOLE school wanting to use it ... Plan B?
+Stop the schools interfeering with outside-school life.
We've got:
-No Myspaces
-No websites
-No friends from other schools waiting for you after school
-No staying out after school
I know its all for satefy and bullying, but come on. Leave us aloneeee.
+Get better music teachers.
Mine goes on about just the music
he loves. I'm sure he goes off the curriculum stages, we are learning the most randomist things and he lets us do ANYTHING.
Even though I'm good at music^^
+Art lessons. I LOVE art to the full, and I love the teachers, but can we not go beyond Drawing plants, and making monsters out of boxes and bottles?
Sorry if none of this happens in your school, mines just strict, so ignore me!
