Ok, so obviously I'm part of this UK street team, but I have a question... What makes a street team 'official'? Are we an 'official' street team? I presume that official street teams have some sort of backing or support of a record label or something? Presuming that 'official' street teams actually exit, prehaps it would be good if we could get links to all the other 'official' street teams from all the other countries posted here as a quick reference... We are an Official street team, you can see by the personalised messeges from TH on the myspace. What makes us official is that we have connections or SHOULD have with the record label, and we did alot earlyer in the year. urrrmm Im not good at explaining this one, ill wait for Claire.

I'm not sure I get it still... but it was something I really wanted to know about. *confuzzled look*. Thanks for trying anyway nash. Holly EDIT Ah! Look What I just found! Quote from FAQ/Qusetions and Awnsers Thread: 3) How did the UK street team become official?/How do I make my street team/fansite official? The short answer is: I don't know. I was asked to set-up the UK street team by Tokio Hotel's UK record label. How you would go about making your street team official in your country, I have no idea. The best advice I can give you is contact Universal in your country, but they may well not answer you. Be prepared for that likelihood. However, you don't need to be 'official' to do great street team work. The band always needs fan support and are very grateful for voting, emailing and fan actions. No I can't give you any contact details of anyone. Please do not ask. If you have a fansite, you can apply to be an official fanclub through the German fanclub. END QUOTE Should have checked that thread earlier... so it does appear to be something about having connections to the record labels. Hmmm...

To legitimately use the term 'official' you must be sanctioned by Tokio Hotel's record label.
The UK street team was set-up by me on behalf of Fascination Records in May 2007. We have a very old message from Bill on our Myspace, we have a link on the official UK website, and we are well known by Tokio Hotel's managers.
The only other 'official' street teams run by fans are:
Official Swedish Street Team THCanada (official Canadian Street Team and Fanclub) The new official USA forum is also run by fans from the THDA street team
Official street teams run by Universal or external companies: Total assault (USA eteam) Official Italian Street Team (run by Universal with multiple fan heads of regions)
Fans with access to official TH people: Tokio Hotel Does America Tokiohotel.org.uk THAmerica has a few links
This is all I know really. I've always been mostly concerned with my own relationships with them, but we started out as the first official street team run by fans. THCanada and the Swedish Street Team were much more recently made official. And I was the one that introduced the THDA girls to the official people.
And that's everything! I can let you know anything else if you have any questions.
In theory our official status should mean we have a lot more by way of information, stuff, etc, but the UK situation is poor. There will probably be more forthcoming about that soon. I realise it doesn't look much like we're official because we have nothing to give you, but we are.
