Hmm... ok, well I`ve come up with a crazy idea lol. ( mostly due to lack of sleep! ) First - we need to make up the rest of the money to watch the dvd. And 2nd - I need to channel all this worry about Bill into something positive before it drives me nuts. So ....

I`m gonna do the ten days silence with Bill! For every day he can`t speak - neither will I! Now, before you laugh me of the board - I`ve done 6 days before while an animal rights court case was taking place - so this is just four more days than that. I really think I can do it.

IMPORTANT - I don`t want anyone to think I can make loads of money for the team out of this. For a proper sponsored event it needs to be organized right and stuff and I don`t have time for that. It`s just between friends and family to make enough cash to cover the dvd watching. What ever they give me to shut me up for 10 days, I`ll donate to the kitty. ;D

As it stands the last we heard was that Bill`s op will happen tomorrow. So I guess I`ll start then. If we hear any differently I`ll just stop and start again when it happens.

Ohmy gosh, Liz, that's really a lot. 10 days is a long time, though I love the idea. I just don't want you to feel like you have to raise money for the DVD. There are A LOT of people that are coming that haven't contributed. We've had some very generous people, including you, and it's not fair that other people planning on attending the meet-up haven't contibuted their small amount. They need a little kick up the backside and I will be doing that soon.

But, it is a cool idea. And I definitely don't want to stop your solidarity with Bill. So it's up to you. I just worry. Eeek. I think the watching of the DVD is in the hands of the rest of the forumers who haven't contributed.

To be honest Claire, the idea to do the 10 days with Bill came first - like you said, out of solidarity. But then I immediately thought that it could help with the dvd watching too.

I`m pretty good ( stubborn is probably a better word lol ) at protests. I`ve done hunger strikes , silences, stay awakes ( the stay awakes are a walk in the park LOL ) ...

Admittedly this is the biggest to date, but I reckon I can do it. And if I can help make the street team a few bucks along the way, all the better .... ;D
