but i think it would rock if you have a topic where fans and post fan stuff like;

I think it's a great idea. Creativity is a wonderful things and brings people closer together.

I'd just like to ask - What would the restrictions be. For instance, I know there's a LOAD of trouble going on currently between the... um... people that do and don't like a certain type of fanart/fanfiction (if people know what I'm on about). Would that be allowed? Or not? Where would the boundaries be set and so on?

I think that sort of means that a certain kind of fan art/fiction would not be allowed? On the other hand, I wonder if fan arts section goes in the street team ideas section or maybe in offtopic?

True. But couldn't all varieties of fanfiction be considered false or inaccurate, purely by definition?

I think I was leaning more toward that "other kind of fic" being sexually oriented.

Well, yes, that was the type of fic I was referencing too haha. But I guess it could exist to an extent without being particulalrly sexually orientated (Say G rated or something).... but it would definitly offend a LOT of people.

My sense is that given the number of other places to post fic of all kinds, this board might stay more on task with Street Team efforts and not risk offending anyone. Maybe? *falls down from medication* Not to blame for weird things I say today.

I agree wholeheartedly there. I, personally have nothing against fanfiction... I just don't think it should be hosted in 'official' places, especially not ones where there is any risk whatsoever of the boys seeing it. It's unnecessary. If people want to find that sort of thing, it doesn't exactly take a detective to find it. *pets you* I say weirder thigns with no excuse

Though I enjoy fan fiction of all varieties, I agree that perhaps this is not the best forum for it to be posted in. Any FF that is on the internet runs the risk of the boys seeing it, even if it is not in an official forum.

However, this forum is for the UK Street Team and its activities, and for the promotion of TH. There are many places for fan fiction, and perhaps this is not one of them.

I do like the idea of a place to post [G-rated] fan art, as there are heaps of talented fans who produce beautiful work, and it can do nothing but help the band.

Bill is alway saying how he loves Creativity and all and by that way people can find icons or what ever it is they like and can put it on their web page or myspace and get Tokio hotel more out their!
(i thought it was a good idea... on other form i chat on about tokio hotel they have fan art topics and some people has some good work)
not all art is under sexually topic i hade a ff and it was about life on tour with pranks, stress, conflict, ect. ect. ect.

Of course there is lots of fanfiction that is perfectly non-sexual and fantastic.... it's just that the majority of it... isn't!

But I agree that fanart and icons are good, good, good stuff and should be created and shared!

Okay, I have no problem with fanart or fan fiction in principle. However, there are a lot of websites and forums that you can go to for that. And, I am not keen on hosting some of the fanart and fanfic I know of as part of the street team (not that I am against it or anything).

The point of the street team is to generate ideas and activity to promote Tokio Hotel in the UK, and to bring fans together in a communal creative way. Fanart could be part of that, fan fiction not so much.

So perhaps expand on the fanart idea.

Edited to add: Obviously use common sense - no explicit art will be tolerayed here.

Urmmm so lets start thinking of fanart idea ... just for fun, not a comp or anything.. ass there are comps already going on ... dont want to make this complicated lol ...

Maybe we could all draw a pic of Bill ... and post them here ( or start a new threas) and ppl can say what they think about them which ones they like ect. Mybe for some time within the next two weeks?
