FURTHER INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE SATURDAY! So, the Meet Up is just days away! Who's excited? We definitely are!
This post is to remind everyone of the main details, and also to help you decide what you need to bring with you on the day
Before we do that, we've noticed there seems to be some concern on Facebook about getting to the location (Kensington Gardens) and finding the Meet Up point - the Albert Memorial. You can find detailed instructions on our main
Meet Up post, but if anyone is still worried, please let us know either here, or by emailing
tokiohoteluk@gmail.com and we'll help as much as we can
Ok, so what should you bring with you to the Meet Up?
BANNERSWe need lots of banners! As I'm sure you're all aware, we will be meeting on Bill and Tom's birthday, and we intend to make some videos during the Meet Up, so it would be nice to have some birthday banners for the twins. It's also Gustav's birthday shortly afterwards, so we also need some banners for that too, as it will be the perfect opportunity for us to record a birthday message for him
Finally we would like any THUKST / UK banners you would like to make. You can be as creative as you like, as long as they are Tokio Hotel / UK related.
To give you inspiration, will we have a competition for the best banner! The competiton will include all of the banners (twins birthday, Gustav's birthday and THUKST/UK ones) and we will pick the best overall one as our winner OTHER THINGS TO BRING *A picnic! We won't be scheduling any time to go anywhere to get food, and will instead be having a picnic in the park, so be sure to bring food and drink.
*Pens
*A blanket to sit on
*Cameras / phones
*Waterproof coat (let's hope you won't need it!)
*Tokio Hotel clothing / items - hats, badges, flags, bags and wear any Tokio Hotel clothing you have!
*Tokio Hotel memories - we will start the Meet Up of with a group chat so we can get to know each other a little, so if you have anything you'd like to share with the group, feel free to bring it along. Maybe you have a favourite concert picture, or a picture from one of our previous meet ups
Or it could just be the story of how you first got into Tokio Hotel, perhaps the first song you ever heard? Whatever it is, please bring it along and tell us about it! But remember you have to travel with it, so nothing too enormous
*Money for the tube and buses - remember that you need to travel to the meet up location once you arrive in London, so do bring some extra money for the tube or buses. Please remember you are responsible for ALL travel to and from the Meet Up. We are unable to provide any assistance with this.
*Print out of the travel instructions - if you're worried about getting there, bring a print out of the travel details!
*Friends / Parents - the more, the merrier, so feel free to bring your family and friends along with you! Everyone is welcome
Please note, if you are under 16 you will need to bring either a parent or an adult (18 and over) along with you. Unfortunately we can't take responsibility for anyone younger as we won't have enough time or THUKST staff to keep an eye on everyone. We do suggest that anyone under 18 is accompanied by an adult, and all under 18s must have parental permission to attend. REMINDER OF THE MAIN MEET UP DETAILS *MEETING AT 12 NOON, at THE ALBERT MEMORIAL, KENSINGTON GARDENS, LONDON (if you can't get there by 12 noon, let us know and we'll make sure someone comes to meet you when you arrive)
*MEET UP WILL RUN FROM 12 NOON UNTIL 5PM.
