I bought the box set for my brother for Christmas but he hasn't even looked at them so I started reading them. I've nearly finished Mockingjay and they're goood, I think it's going to be pretty hard for the films to be even half as powerful as the books.
(My favourite trilogy will always be the Wind on Fire, though they're aimed at a slightly younger audience :/)

There's always that fear when a book turns into a movie though, like we won't be able to know via the movie what Katniss is thinking like we can in the book but the trailers still look pretty awesome!

Ecomo - I've heard of the Wind on Fire trilogy and though i wanted to read them i never got around to it. I've heard they're good though Amiee - Yeah, flicking through, i noticed that it's written in the first person. I love books written in the first person - especially books that go between different characters but all in their voices. It's always hard to get across the same feelings in a film when the book is written in the first person. I will be sure to read the book first before i watch the film though! |

Yeahh, I try to see books and their film adaptations as separate things so that I'm not disappointed, haha. Ahh xAngelPromisex (sorry, I don't know your name) you should read them, I think they're amazing  |
