Good luck getting permission  I want to take mine out but i know i'll end up wanting them back in a few months time and i'm not going to waste money piercing them again xD I have clear labrets in atm as my school's being a tard. They're wonky though  Apparently i'm the only one that can tell =/ |

Aw, that's cool.
I'd love to have one piercer i stick with.
My mother got all her piercings in different places as we've moved a lot.
Ah, i'm not as worried about getting tattoos as i am piercings. I'll probably end up in agony with my tats though xD
I'm not sure what my pain threshold is like as my lip was numbed for the snakebites and my navel is the only proper piercing i've had done with no numbing. I think the adrenaline might've blocked out the pain for that one.

Same again ninixx - for me, the actual piercing didn`t hurt at all. It was a little sore for a few days, but, nothing that pain killers didn`t solve.

Lol. No, it didn`t hurt. I mean, obviously there`s some pressure, and you can `feel` it - but it doesn`t hurt as such no. Trust me, I don`t like pain either! If I can do it, anyone can lol.

Well, one thing I would say, is that if you are really nervous I`d wait. The worst thing you can do is make a sudden movement or jerk your head away or something, during the proceedure ( which if your particulary worried could happen ). Do you know anyone else who is going to get it done? Maybe you could go and `sit in` on someone else`s piercing, and see for yourself. Also, go and have a chat with your piercer. A good piercer will be happy to talk to you about any worries you have, and answer any questions. |

It`s really hard to tell someone how something feels, lol. And like I said before, everyone experiences a piercing differently. But I`ve never met anyone who said a lip piercing was very painful. The worst I`ve heard people say is that they felt a sharp prick - maybe similar to having an injection. But it`s not severe pain, and it`s quick. And your lip is held quite firmly, so you will experience some pressure. Bearing in mind someone is going to put a hole through your lip ( ! ) it would be silly to imagine it will be totally pain free. But, in my experience, the actual proceedure is not painful, and the worst is the few days that follow, while the soreness goes away.

My lip pierced wasn't numbed and it just felt like a pinprick tbh.
My belly button on the other hand, also not numbed, felt like I was being freakin' stabbed. |:
