i've had it done before behind my parents back. my brother found out & said "if you get rid of it, i won't tell them" so i did ): that was about 4 months ago & it's sort of healed but not completely but i'm getting it re-done this afternoon with my best friend :3

Same with mine with the walking in, most piercers will let you. tattoos however have to be booked most of the time. though theres me who didnt book either and one was done within an hour of deciding I wanted it before a show... BTW. Never get tattooed before going to a gig, getting hot and sweaty over a new tattoo SUCKS ASS haha I dont know what other tattoo to get next HELP

HELP GUYS
so i was planning on getting my belly re-pierced today & i woke up to find a note on my laptop which said "if you get your belly pierced today against your parents advice, you will not get this months allowance. Mum + Dad."
it's proper annoyed me, it's like bribery! their advice was not to get it cuz it it will get infected but last time i had my belly pierced, it had healed after a couple of weeks & was fine. i'm not going to ghana for a month so it has plenty of time to heal & if i clean it all the time, it will be fine. & if i take piercing cleaner & big plasters with me to ghana, it will be fine. i'll just make sure i wash it a lot in the shower, clean it with the piercing cleaner twice a day & wear a big plaster over it all day to prevent it being infected.
i've been waiting 4 months to get this piercing again & i'm not waiting another 7 weeks for it. i'm 18 now & i should be allowed to do what i want, just like my brother! but my parents are treating me like i'm 16. they aren't letting me go, they're holding onto me tight & not letting me learn from my own mistakes. they're not letting me grow up & it pisses me off. because of they're religion, it's holding me back on a lot of things & they're just not fair on me at all. ugh. /end rant.

I say have a very CALM and collected conversation with your parents when you can, not through a text or note or anything. Explain that you respect their wishes but you are 18 and legally an adult, and it is not an obvious piercing. Try making an almost swap? Say you'll only have half the months allowance if you are allowed to do it, or even just say okay to not having the whole months. I know it really sucks, but you have to seem 100% grown up to them, my mom is totally the same with my tongue piercing, she still wont back down after two years. Explain that you will take proper care and explain that well to them!! Explain if it gets infected you won't get the piercing again, but you will take proper care of it, more than needed.
If they still say no, and you really dont want to upset your parents, then dont get it and wait. its the best advice I can give, from a child who got her first tattoo without parents consent and suffered for months for it, I got cut off from anything that wasnt already planned and no extra money given than essential for the times i was meant to go out... it sucks but parents are just clingy like that sometimes!
Let us know how it goes!

i spoke to them, & they said to wait till i get back from ghana if i'm still wanting it. they said that ghana isn't a clean place & no matter how i clean i try to keep it, it will still get infected cuz of the conditions of ghana. but they're happy that i didn't get it against their wishes which is good.

Maybe it is a pretty good idea to wait until you're back, you don't wanna risk any sort of infection with a piercing you really want.

exactly, that's what i thought. i talked to my best friend about it when we shopping (such a bargain buy today! just saying) & she said that my parents need to give me more freedom whether they like it or not but i should wait in case of any infections, even though there are ways of preventing it. but because of my parents religion, they find it hard to let me do the things i want to do. *le shrug*

This is my latest tattoo: My babies hand print!! Got it done a month back, the pic is from when it'd just been done. ( &&yes, it's his actual hand print - we put his hand in paint, and on to paper ourselves for the tattooist to carbon copy ) My other half got a matching one too!
