I got in tooooooooooo!
Farnborough sixth, here I come. And yeah, i don't need to get all As and stuff to get in, just need 5 passes [which shouldn't be hard really considering I passed all my mocks]

i got into tameside college in ashton! i cant believe that they let me in with my retarded grades! i was like omg when i got the letter through this morning! i was so proud and now am like dead dead nervous about going.

It`s never too late. Your interview is your chance to sell yourself. I didn`t get fabulous exam results either. I was a slacker at school lol. But at my interview I just told them I knew I hadn`t done well, but that I wanted the chance to prove myself etc. Just try to be as enthusiaistic as you can. I know grades are important, but they`ll take enthusiasm and commitment to the course into consideration too, regardless of the grades.

My interview was easy. I was just smiley and calm and he told me I had a very good reference and grades so I was in. ^w^ Sorry if i sound stupidly up myself, i'm just chuffed coz it's an amaaaaazing college. -squeeee- I can't believe they let me in!!! XD

I was never at school as I had a lot of problems during my GCSE's and I really hated school, however I was predicted C's and above still as I luckily caught up with all the work I missed.
And as for revising, I didn't revise for any of my exams apart from a little bit for Music and these are the grades I got.


Business and Communication Systems: A
Business Studies: B
Music: B
English Language: B
Maths: C
German: C
Textiles: C
Religious Studies: C
English Literature: D [It was hard haha]
Applied Science: DD [4 marks away from CC but my teacher lost a piece of my coursework which I had to do again which gave me lower marks.]

And then I had no idea what I wanted to do afterwards, applied for college at the last minute. Got an interview about a week before college started and got in and I got one of the last two places on the Media Course. I now love college, it's so much better than school. My school were begging me to stay on for Sixth Form, but I couldn't wait to leave the place.

OK, so my exam results are like this:

GCSE
English: D at first, but then I re-sat the exam and I am the proud owner of a B grade.
Maths: See English.
Double Science: CC
Graphics: C
Religious Studies: C
Art: C
Business Studies: C
German: ... A*

AS Levels
German: ... A
Human Biology: U

I have A2 German, AS English Lang and AS Media Studies to do. German and Media are a doddle but English... I struggle with Textual Analysis big time.
