Oh yes me too! I've always found the relationship between Bill and Tom fascinating. They are so different, yet they are still one person and closer than anyone could ever imagine. Like Bill said before 'In Die Nacht' they will never part and i just think it's incredible that two people can have a bond like that. They totally understand each other, yet they are different as well. That's why i have my sig picture as it is, because it shows that even though they are so different, they are also one person and so alike. Yes, i can't really remember a time when i didn't know they were identical twins, but i wonder if, if i saw them together in a pic without knowing their relationship, would i know that they were identical twins or even twins? It is true that you can never judge a book by its cover and they are no exception. Hm, i am sort of close to my mum and my dad but i don't think that they could read me easily. My sister and i are close but i don't think she could read me either. I think i'm a very difficult person to read because i keep so much inside. I don't tell people things about me or how im feeling about something easily. I think there are only two people who i REALLY talk to. One of them is my best friend who lives in Germany and she and i are really close. We met online nearly 2 years ago and we met for the first time in reality last summer and have met two times since then. That first meeting was probably one of the best moments of my life I think that she can read me better than anyone else i know, but even then, there are some things that she can't tell about me because i'm so tightly closed up. Wow that was a long reply about me there. Hope that wasn't too boring

Thats ok. I see myself like that so it interested me. I dont easily tell people how I feel about things either. I cant even share things like that easily with my family because some things might upset them. My mum especially. I can give my opinion on something that doesnt involve me though.
I dont feel I can talk to my mum much about my beloved TH and Bill. So Im glad Iv got this forum to discuss that.

Yes, i can give an opinion on something that doesn't mention me or have anything to do with me either. But as soon as it comes to me, i instantly close up. My mum gets upset easily because she wants me to talk to her about things that are troubling me or upsetting me and i don't. Not because i don't trust her but because i just can't talk about myself like that. I have a diary and i write a lot of my feelings in there. I'm also so glad i joined this forum just to talk to people about Tokio Hotel. As i've said before, no one around me knows who they are and they are my favourite band and i can't talk about them with others. It's SO nice to talk to people like yourself who love this band just as much as i do

Thats a good idea about the diary. For me though I cant just write things down, I have to actually say it to someone and get some comfort or advice.
Thats great that you enjoy the forum. I know how you feel about not being able to talk about something to the people around you. Iv told people things about TH but its just a one way conversation. I dont get a response except a noise acknowledging they`ve heard me. So I also find talking to people on this forum like yourself good as well.

I've kept a diary since i was 13 and i'm now 17 (18 this year) and i've always loved it. I've almost filled my fourth book now. Yes sometimes it's good to talk to people who can comfort you and help you, but for a long time, i never had anyone who i felt i could talk to about things. Now i have my best friend and i'll always talk to her about things that bother me. But you know those times when you really just need to rant about something or someone? It's so much safer to do that in a diary Yes, i get that too. Or any interest people seem to have in Tokio Hotel ends when they see Bill, which i think is so sad. I've mentioned to a couple of German people at my school that i like them because i kinda hoped that they would like them too as, of course, they are more likely to know about them, but the only response i recieved was them laughing at me for liking them.

That makes me wonder where all the TH fans are hiding, except those who come on this forum. Really they are supposed to be HUGE in Germany, given its their home country. But they were just a couple of people so they dont represent Germany as a whole

I know. The Germans i know from school do not like them for sure, my best friend really dislikes them and her sister used to be a fan up until Scream (she didn't like that they turned to English) and then gave me all of her Tokio Hotel stuff when i visited my best friend - sad that she doesn't like them anymore but good for me that i gained some cool stuff I asked a German girl in my year why she doesn't like them and she said 'They used to be popular a couple of years ago but not so much now.' I think that when they branched out to America, the rest of Europe, and now Japan, they lost a lot of their German fans.

Aww that makes me feel a bit sad. They`ve always tried to remain loyal to their German fans seeing as they are German. I dont like the thought of them losing the fans they started out with, who helped them get to where they are. They always say how greatful they are to their fans for supporting them, voting for them to win awards.
I get a little annoyed that they dont seem likely to do a UK tour, cos I really want to see them. And I dont know if I could go to Europe to see them, financially and time wise, but I would go if I could. Im too loyal to them to think badly about them, no matter where they go.
I suppose their German fans perhaps think they`ve lost a claim on them or something, because they`ve become big elsewhere and are away from Germany alot.

Yes it makes me sad too. They've always sung in German even when they turned to English. It could have been so easy for them to drop the German completely. I know, their fans mean so much to them. But there were always going to be people who didn't like them turning to English and branching away from Germany. It IS sad though. Those fans helped them to get to where they are today and it's sad to think that they no longer suppor them anymore. I think Humanoid caused them to lose a lot of fans as well - just cause it was so different. But then, again, there are going to be people who like it and people who don't. The guys can't please everyone. Oh yes, me too. I wish they would come to the UK just so i could see them live. That would be incredible. If my best friend liked them too, i would be willing to see them in Germany with her as well but as she hates them, that's never going to happen. I wish they would give the UK more of a chance. They have fans here too, i just don't think they realise it. Yeah, my best friend's sister says she feels like they've turned their backs on the German fans. I don't think that's true though. It IS sad

I am butting in here but I guess the German fans feel like that cause they're not exactly used to German artists getting big elsewhere - whereas UK artists go and start working in the US all the time.
It is a rather selfish attitude to have but then again I think this is TH's problem in general, they want to progress and change but are kind of being held back by their fans who think they should still be the same band that they were in their teens.
And as for the twins - I don't think anyone can understand that kind of connection unless they are a twin themselves. My best friends are twins and it's the same thing with the psychic connection, knowing when the other is ill/upset/in trouble etc...though they did want to do different things and therefore lead more separate lives than Bill and Tom do. Oh, and I remember knowing there were identical twins in Tokio Hotel before I became a fan but not knowing which ones they were when I saw their posters on the underground.

You're not butting in, it's nice to have other opinions Yes, that's a really good point. If more German artists branched out to the US, maybe TH fans would be more willing to let the guys branch out. I think it's sad that fans have to stop being fans just because they are growing and getting more popular. You'd think they'd be happy that they're getting somewhere and be proud of them. You look at comments on Humanoid and some people are talking about wanting the old Tokio Hotel back. People need to accept that the guys are growing up and as they grow up, their music is changing and growing with them. No one can expect them to keep on recording the music they did in their teens. They're no longer teenagers. The old music will always be there for fans, but the guys have to grow as artists. Yes, again, i agree. I've always found twins fascinating, especially identical twins and especially Bill and Tom It would be amazing to share that connection with someone and to know what that feels like.

Heya just randomly dropping in again as I do lol, saw people are still on this topic, no official lyrics yet then =[
Personally i'm not sure if the title and lyrics are really intended to be seen as a metaphor (if im using the right word.. im tired) because English isn't exactly spot on in interviews etc i doubt they would know slang terms and that.. maybe they do but they counter it with the rest of the lyrics which makes it a sweet song without just being crude if you get me lol

Yes, not yet I think i agree with the person from the other forum whose opinion i posted on here. I think it's supposed to be a sweet song about how Bill will feel when he falls in love, or how he wants to feel when he falls in love. It would be awesome if the other idea was supposed to be meant as well as Tom's view on love (ahah we all know he has his one night stands ) to represent both the twins' view on love, but either way, i think we should take it as a sweet song

You would think so, but I've seen fans being petty before about their favourite band actually being successful before...it just doesn't surprise me anymore I just hope TH manage to acquire some more mature fans along the way (I don't mean age wise btw - I think the older fans can be just as pathetic). Yeah, people even comment on the way Bill dresses and how he looked so much better at 17 :S It's pathetic really - especially since he's always been the kind of person to wear whatever the hell he wants...I think he's just gained more confidence as he's gotten older. It seems pretty obvious to me that he was always headed in the fashionista direction xD Aw yes those two really are fascinating <3 I don't know how two people can be so similar and yet so different xD I don't know if you've seen it, but in a recent interview they asked them about being twins and Bill said something along the lines of 'I don't know how anyone copes without a twin!' LOL <3

Yes, that's true actually. I think that's sad. If Tokio Hotel made it big in the UK, then i'd be so proud of them and happy for them. Yes, i agree too. Fans should support a band and be pleased for them when they achieve their dreams, not resent them for it. I know! Bill has had so many different styles and everyone is going to like him with a different style. But fans should be able to accept that he's going to change. Everyone changes their style at some point in their lives, it just so happens that Bill has a much more drastic style and likes to change it more often He's never cared about what others think of what he wears so i don't see why anyone else should. Bill is just not afraid to be completely himself in a society that is so quick to judge people on appearance and i have so much respect for him for that. You wouldn't find many guys like that. Aww that's so adorable Which interview was that? I'd love to see it I love it when the twins say cute things about each other. Like when Tom said the best birthday present he ever got was born 10 mins after him
