Gigs!

The dedication...if it were tokio hotel, i'd be right there with them. But, yes, that is worrying i've heard some nasty stuff about that place.
Not wanting to worry you of course, i'm sure you'll be fine! I just wouldn't want to go there really late at night, even with a large group of people.

I went to 30 Seconds To Mars yesterday, and queued all day for them. They put on a really really good show and all that, but they are unnecessarily arrogant. At first I just thought it was the management telling them what to do, but after a little while you could tell that Jared is just up himself. Also, Ed the stage door security guy was telling me that last time 30STM were at Newcastle, Jared left his pass somewhere, so Ed couldn't let him in otherwise he would get fired, and Jared was being really rude and disrespectful about it and saying (in cute american accent) "don't you know who I am? I'm with the band man, you should know who I am, I'm famous"
Also, when they did a signing thing inside which I wasn't alowed too because they told us to go outside, and then wouldn't let us back in, they wore rubber gloves! Didn't talk to the fans! And didn't let people photo them. I mean, that was partially management, but surely they could of talked to the fans?

Thanks strange...how do they expect to keep thier fans if they go around doing things like that?
I mean I understand to an extent, its about the music and is suported by the fans, but still unless you're music's THAT GOOD, you really need to keep the fans sweet...otherwise people just loose interest and they want to support a band thats not only got good music...but that the memebers are nice people too. I'm all up for stage character and so on...but I think you can only take that so far.

i heard that about how arrogant 30 STM are ! my friend rachel went to see them at some festival last year and she met jared and he was SO rude ! she went to go and talk to him and he just said *im not meeting anymore fans go away* like they were his actual words ! so that really puts me off them.

i booked tickets on see.com for this band called the secret handshake, their american and completely unfamous, and i doubt the will come back to england any time soon. SO i was so excited and it was in 2 weeks BUT i got the tickets yesterday and theyve sent me them for stoke-on-trent instead of london ! so i called up to say and there reply was *we never had tickets for the london gigs and you obviously ordered tickets for stoke on trent by accident, therefore it was not our fault and we wont give you london tickets OR a full refund* IM SO ANGRY !
im not sure what to do really, there's no proof that they did anything wrong so i cant really complain, but still. its not even the money, tickets were only £10 bu i really wanted to see that gig.

oh well, its just paramore then.

well holly, my knees are blue and purple, my forearms are sore, my ribs just feel crashed, i cant hear very well and my throat feels like it's been scraped with sandpaper!!! so i guess it was amazingggg!! ;D

i queued for 11 hours cos i wanted to make sure i was right at the front - and i did! ^^ there were about 30 people when i got there

dispite what people were saying about them i didnt think Black Tide were that bad (their singer really looks 12 tho!lol) but i liked Bloodsimple a little more, the guitarist seemed like he was having a great time!
people were chanting "sevenfold" even during the support bands' performance ¬_¬' ...the guys from Bloodsimple were pretty cool about it
then Avenged Sevenfold came on and as soon as the lights went down and the first note played the whole place went crazy
i missed most of the 2nd song cos i had the security guy's belly in my face as he was trying to pull someone out but he or she was a bit heavy
they played for about an hour and a half (not even a 2 hours set would be enough for me! ;D) but the set list was great
afterwards i waited for them to come out with a group of other fans and in the meanwhile we had a chat with members of hte 2 support acts, they're all really nice guys! then Avenged's tour manager told us that Matt would come out to sign autographs and take pics (and he stayed until everyone there had taken their pic and had an autograph) but the rest of the band would go straight to the tour bus but it wasnt like they just put their heads down, ran to the bus and didnt even aknowledge the fans who had waited in the cold for 2 hours (seriously i was so cold it hurt!lol), so yeah it shows that talking while walking it's not that hard and it can be done without that much of an effort! X3 (plus some of us still managed to get a hug )

LOL. Sounds like you had a great time! Glad to hear it too. I can't say I really know the bands you mentioned, but hey!

@nikki too bad hun, I don't think you can really do much unless you can find where they wrote that they were London tickets too. It's a shame it's like missing TH this summer...I'm really sad about that since it doesn't seem like they'll be back here for a while!

I'm going to see 30 Seconds to Mars tomorrow night in Glasgow. I'm hoping it'll be good although I agree with what was said before, they do come across as really arrogant. Fingers crossed Jared will be able to deflate his ego for the evening! *crosses* More worried about it being at the Barrowlands though-sooooo scary there at night!!

BUT that has so put me off for life.
this is why i LOVE TH. theyre down to earth, they respect us, its a two way thing.
WE LIVE THEM. THEY LIVE US.
and say they didnt have time to speak to us, they would be... THAT RUDE!!

OMG I know right... Barrowlands is well scary at night.
I was there for ages waiting for the HIM concert, and then all the HIM fans scared me. XD
I'm so cool.
All the alleys there are scary.

We took a wrong turn coming out of the barrowlands last night and ended up down some dodgy alley-I thought we were gonna die
30STM were good last night although Jared came out with all this "this is about a revolution......in your mind" stuff which made me laugh, lol. We hung around afterwards to meet them and they signed our tickets and we got some pictures taken with Jared and his brother. They stayed until everyone had the chance to get stuff signed which was cool but Jared himself was really stand-offish. He signed our tickets then didn't give them back-he turned away and started chatting to their manager! I had to fake a coughing fit before he gave them back. When people tried talking to him though, he just stood there looking at them blankly so I didn't even bother to make an attempt at conversation, lol.
It sucks though cos I don't have any more gigs lined up now

Same, we were parked down one of the back alleys, and it was really scary.
Jared sounds like a total diva, and like way rude to people.

They're in Nottingham, for the Kerrang Tour... so it's like 4 bands, but I'm going mainly for Madina Lake. XD
I'll get pictures, and videos... there is a band meet and greet before it, and then we're out the back to meet them after it aswell.
