I like some of Mika's stuff, its a bit too same-y for me, but its good happy music! I listen to everything, people think I just listen to metal, which I do, but I LOVE 80's stuff! Starship, Bon Jovi, Europe, Dead or Alive, Bonnie Tyler! And Huey Lewis and The News is one of my absolute favourite bands! I may be speaking another language to some of you!

I know what you mean, Ecomo. It's so much nicer to have somebody come along to gigs. I hate to go on my own. There was a phase where I didn't go to any concerts because I would've had to go alone (2 and half years and didn't see anybody play live).

Yesterday Delays announced UK tourdates and they'll be playing in York! *joy* About time. So I'll be going to their show at the end of February. Most importantly though are the Tokio Hotel concerts I'm going to: Slovenia and Denmark. *hurrah* Can't wait! ;D

Past concerts... well, when I was a teenager and started to go to concerts Germany seemed to be the centre of boy group activity. *lol* There was no way around it. Also growing up in a small town there wasn't much going on regarding concerts. Actually it was pure excitement if somebody well-known would play in Magdeburg, somebody you would bother with the journey to see. With "bother" I mean that the last train home left ridiculously early and the venue was miles away from the train station with no public transport whatsoever connecting the two. Plus I never liked the venue because I could never see much. Anyway, those are the gigs I remember:

Backstreet Boys (first concert ever, Schwerin in '96)
*N Sync (Magdeburg, touring the first album when they didn't even sell out places)
Caught In The Act (farewell concert in Magdeburg after they announced they'd break up... I didn't care much, didn't think they were that good but my best friend loved them, that day was pure drama! I even started crying because I couldn't bear to see all the fans break down in tears.)
Michael Jackson (Prague)
Hanson ('97? in Cologne, sooo much fun!)
O-Town (Berlin, they were fun)
HIM (2 x in Magdeburg, 1 x in 2000 and 1 x in '02 or '03... actually I can't remember if I saw them twice or three times *lol*)
Placebo (Magdeburg, wasn't planned as I'm not a huge fan but one of my friends ended up with a spare ticket and asked me short notice, luckily I said yes, because My Vitriol were supporting! Love My Vitriol.)

Waiting at the barrier all day for The Rasmus, ten thousand crazed finnish emo girls going mental at a short man with a big fringe & a little keyboard.
I was really scared.

Am jealous of midori seeing Bloodhound Gang, I really want to go to one of their gigs but can never get tickets.

Ha ha, I can't imagine you being scared and nearly dying due to Disco Ensemble. It surely was nothing like that in York when they played Fibbers.

Ah Bloodhound Gang. That was ages ago and the first time I went to a concert at "Grosse Freiheit 36" on the "Reeperbahn" in Hamburg. It's the most famous street in the red-light district... with a little church next to the venue. The gig was fun and after it my friends took some pics with the band outside... I was just standing in silence next to the drummer, watching everything. Yeah, both of us not talking. ;D
