I went to the Wednesday 13 concert in Leeds on 17th May. Felt a bit weird to go on my own and I had never listened to Wednesday 13 before. I only went to see the support band Sign. Was well worth it. They're awesome. Seriously check out their myspace. Their new album The Hope was released in the UK today and they'll open the main stage at Download on 14th June. If you're going, you should try to catch them. I also went to one of their headline shows on 28th May in York (saw them last August as well) and it was just fantastic. I'm not good at writing reviews... have one of their support shows' review if your interested to read on. Taken from musicextra.net: Next up are Sign. This exciting Icelandic rock band is back for another assault on the UK, armed with a new album The Hope, a recent rave Kerrang! review in the press cuttings and a slot on the main stage at Download confirmed. They take the entire gig up ten levels instantly, entering to an atmospheric backing tape, strobes flashing wildly and the enigmatic lead singer Zolberg keeping the fans waiting as he shudders on stage belatedly so they can hear him but not see him for the start of the song. Twitching and screaming, Zolberg has taken on board previous constructive criticism, and totally commands the stage and audience from the first note tonight. As he screams the chorus to opening track Hold Me Alive you know this is going to be a special show. The whole place is instantly won over and they could be the headline band by only the second song. The rest of the band are passionate and vibrant, synchronised head banging and hair flailing as they aggressively attack their set. There’s a ballsier feel to some of the old favourites such as Misguided with the addition of screeching keyboards and a third guitar. Their version of Skid Row’s Youth Gone Wild is something special with the whole crowd singing along and they’ve totally made the song their own… it’s no mean feat doing a version as good as, if not better, than the original. Zolberg’s unique high vocals and smouldering good looks drag your eyes back again and again as he steals them. Guitarist AD’s t-shirt asks ‘Who the f*** is Zolberg?’ A lot more people are soon about to find out. If anyone is any doubt as to why this band are now getting the success they deserve they should have been at this breathtaking gig.
Zolberg in Leeds and band pic but it's a bit older, there's five of them now.

I'm going to the festival at the weekend! YAY. To be honest, I'm not overly interested in any of the bands there. I'm going this year for 3 main reasons ...
1) Pete Doherty will be there and I'm going to hunt him down, swap hats with him, and definately get a kiss!
2) I'm going to flyer everyone ( including Pete! ) with TH info ;D
3) The fire parties. Every year we get together and have have fire spinning / poi parties in the camp sites. Awesome fun.
So yeah, really looking foward to it ;D

It's the Isle of Wight Festival, but he's not actually performing. As far as I know Pete is definately going though, and I have a cunning plan. LOL

Ok. I'll write about Dortmund here, and post pictures in the picture bit.
Ok, from the beginning. I got up at 2am to leave at 3am, then the flight was at like 7.15am, so I was extremly tired all day. We got to our hotel at about, uh... 1pm. My dad and Jade slept, but I was like "lol i can't sleep during the day" so at about 3am they finally woke up and we decided we'd go and try to find the place and start queing, it was like 4pm when we started queing, and it was raining and I was like "lolcold" 'cause Jade stole my jumper so I just had a flag around me. So we hung around the tour buses for a while, speaking to this guy who was security or summin, and these girls walked past us and must of seen my flag and was all "HELLO I'M *forgot her name* WHAT IS YOURS?!" so I replied to her. Then we saw David Jost walking about randomly getting filmed, he's quite hot in person btw. He stopped and store at my flag for a while then walked away like ;D but I didn't get a picture of him, because it wasn't until after he had gone I realised who he was. So there was moments where I just stood in the freezing cold not being able to move, and these girls behind me kept on pushing me into the boy infront of me and elbowing me in the back and hitting my head, like lol. Then we got let in, and on the way I SAW SAKI, at a window with one of his legs on the window, and he had shorts on and was all posing and stuff and it was really funny XD In the queue, we got given out silver stars and rubber gloves, the star to hold up during 1000 Meere and the rubber gloves to hold up blown up at Wo Sinde Eure Hande.
Gig: I was sitting at Tom's side and my view was really good, except this big thing that was part of the stage blocked off Gustavs head so he just looked headless, which was annoying. I can't remember what order the songs were in, but they played Ubers Ende Der Welt, Totgeliebt, Spring Nicht, Heilig(?) Wo Sinde Eure Hande, Stich Ins Gluck, Ich Brech Aus, Reden, Vergessen Kinder, An Deiner Seite (Ich Bin Da), Schwarz, Durch Den Monsun 1000 Meere and Geh, maybe more. I totally forgot, most of the show I was just in a daze and didn't realise I was phsyically there actually seeing them, it was so surreal. 1000 Meere came on, and everyone held up their stars, I think it was little ones on the standing and big ones in sitting, and it looked really cool where the lights hit off them, at the end everyone threw them down. n.n At Wo Sinde Eure Hande, we all got rubber gloves and blew them up, I didn't have mine ready, so I was rushing about everywhere looking for my bag and trying to blow it up with a flashy thing and a camera in my hands, not easy. But it was cool. Uhh, what next, I can't remember or describe it really well, as I said it was so surreal being there. So, i'll leave this actual story now, with pictures of all the peoplez in the queue, well infront of and behind me.
;D
