Has anyone noticed, if you listen really carefully to pain of love, it sounds as if a female is singing along with bill? it's only on the verses but I was curious because I was listening to it this morning and had to turn it up full blast to see if I was right.  or maybe its just me? |

LOL Brad, that just made me laugh so much!!! *rofl*
Lots of fans thought it was Tom singing on Pain of Love at first because Bill's voice sounds especially deep. I also think he sounds more similar to Tom on this song than ever before. One of those moments you can really tell that they're twins.
Tom was even asked whether he sings on it or not during yesterday's live chat and he said he wasn't. I wonder if it ever occured to them before that people could think that.

Hm Susi, you have a point. You just have to wonder sometimes. Bill's voice isn't far off the same pitch as Tom's when he speaks, when they don't think the camera is about, so maybe they didn't have a clue... Then again, maybe the did it to tease us?

lol, woulda been funny also.. a whileeee ago, someone was saying about bill singing with a girl.. dont know if it was on a song on the album or something, so maybe Geisterfahrer was the song.. and before when we were talking about bill playing violin (lol) maybe thats on the darkside of the sun.. prob says in the credits in the book or somethin but i cba to go get it, i dont like how they still dont completely write/produce their own stuff.. none of em are teenagers now i say they go solo might get more old style TH songs back that way.. to me this albums just sorta been thrown together.. the hole techno/futuristic/space theme is annoying.. why call a song "phantomrider" or Alien ..?? whats with the dog panting noise at the start of dogs unleashed? lol alot of its repetative but i like Humanoid, Love & Death, Pain of Love, Darkside of the sun next album really should go back to zimmer/scream Q_Q this techno is not good.. like the intro to forever now, dogs unleashed and human connect to human are really annoying No songs that can compare to my old favourites like ready set go, sacred, dont jump, on the edge, final day etc /rant |

I don't hear any dog panting noise at the begining of Dogs Unleashed :S
At the end of the day though, you need a change to get somewhere new :/ but not everyone was expected to like the album, just glad you like some songs LOL, better than hating the whole thing, must have done something right for you Brad

meh i guess some's alright..
go play dogs unleashed, in the first 4 secs it does the noise, then again after the weird sound effect.. i didnt notice it at first n i was like.. thats a dog -.- then i realised the words were practically about a dog:
Touch me
Treat me
Love me
Feed Me
that parts just really lame imo =/

Oh gosh me too! At first I cracked up about the We gonna scratch, we gonna bite part and thought that would definitely be some of the most hilarious TH lyrics and then those four lines turned up and I just couldn't stop laughing. I love those lyrics. I think they're brilliant if ridiculous and yes, lame, at the same time. Just lovely. It amuses me so much. At first I was really like WTH but now I wouldn't want to miss it. For me it's a bit of comedy factor that I enjoy. I'm disappointed they're not like that in German. LOL
And I love the dog panting throughout the song. I thought that was a neat detail.
We need a lyrics discussion thread...
