I don't agree with plastic surgery if I'm honest. Some cases, such as if there has been an accident and the persons' body has been severely injured, it would be necessary. Having it to 'perfect' your face and such isn't needed. People usually look a lot better before they go under the knife than after.
There was such a pretty girl on GMTV last week who was talking about how she is going to have all this surgery on her face and she was still in her teens. I think it just ruins a perfect picture.

-sigh- that's kind of sad. especially if she was already pretty. she didn't need to but there's so much pressure on people to look perfect. i don't think i'd ever have plastic surgery unless i have a really bad accident.

I dont like plastic surgery and I think them pictures on the other page are good examples of surgery going wrong, which that's one reason im not going under the knife.

Right, I was just wondering if anyone intends to go under the knife? I know I am, as soon as I have the money. ^-^ I dont want anything massive, just a nose job and boob reduction so anyone else got plans? I'll only get my boobs reduced if my back is REALLY killing me. OK, right now I get backaches just standing still for too long but that's to be expected. Like I said, if it gets unbearable, I'll get them reduced. Till then, No cosmetic surgery for me. At all. I'm almost against it.

One of my friends had plastic surgery.*Or she described it as that anyway* When she was on holiday, she broke her nose and the people at the hospital set it wrong so it was wonky. She got surgery a few months ago to correct it and return her to her former glory.
I don't think plastic surgery is bad, as such, except when people take advantage of it and get everything done. Sometimes its very useful, for instance if your boobs are huge and you can't really do much physical action *That kinda came out wrong... >.<* or correcting an accident or such like.
I personally would only get my chin and jaw done, though - it's not quite tight enough. Not that I actually have the money for it or anything... >.<

I'm undecided on the topic of plastic surgery. I hate my body....but there's not really much I could change with using surgery...so I'll have to live with it. But one thing I will never have is Botox. Watching RubyWax today on loose Women...who's clearly had botox...it just put me off. I couldnt live without being able to use my facial expressions. It'd annoy me not being able to frown...as weird as that sounds. :/

I want implants, but not one's like Jordon or anything! But, I'm still "growing" so yeah. But if I don't grow any bigger by the time I've finished -- 21 -- I'll get implants. Like I said, not so it looks like I got two footballs shoved down my top but just to a C cup, much better than being a A cup. ugh.
Personally, I don't like plastic surgery when people go overboard trying to be 'perfect.'
TBH, if someone wants say... a nose job, or a boob job, or their ears pinned back because it'd boost their confidence and they're really unhappy with how it looks I think fair enough.
However, tummy tucks (unless you're skin is REALLY saggy and stuff) I don't agree with, because if you wanna lose weight, you should do it the right way and exercise and eat healthily. (This goes for gastric bypass, and lyposuction.)

Hm. you have a point about the whole losing weight thing...but losing weight 'the right way' takes time & if it's affecting your life so badly then i say why not. Get it done. Get the surgery, if it will improve your life. But I'm biased on the topic of weight loss...because since my mum had me..she's been 'big' and she only got bigger. All she wore was black & she was soooooooooo depressed. It was hard for her. So a couple of year ago, she had a bypass. Life is so much better for all of us. She actually laughs now. She gets to do all the things she wants, that she didnt have the confidence to do before. Without it, she'd still be locking herself away.

I think I have my views because being fat.. well, you can change that. I think that a bypass is so dangerous, and life-threatening that if I were big I'd prefer to lose it the right way. Do it the hard, long way, because once you get down the the size you want you'll feel proud of yourself, y'know what I mean? Like you worked hard for it, you stuck to a specific regime and makes you feel better knowing that it took a lot of effort, and self-control and will to lose the weight.
I mean, my mum is big but I wouldn't let her get a bypass - because, though it does work for some people, for others it can be hell, y'know? A bypass, I don't mind as much as lyposuction - I admit that, but it's the whole thing of only being able to eat so much for the rest of your life. And if it's too tight it can restrict your diet to liquidised stuff. :/ Which yes, is just as hard as losing weight because you've got to becareful. But lyposuction is a big no-no.
Sorry if I don't make any sense! LOL!
Basically, in English: I don't mind people having bypasses as much as lypo, unless it's their own fault that they're fat... Like eating way too much of the bad stuff! Whereas they should have to lose it, and realise that it's easier than keeping it off and eating healthily to binge-eating, eating the wrong things and having to work it all back off.

People can do what they like with themselves, but all in all, there's not much attractive about plastic or whatever chemicals are used. One might as well fall in love with an Action Man.
