Just found this on THA. Small, but not great, mention of TH in Rock Sound. From the July issue. (Does anyone have that by any chance?) Claire

Eh nice one! So does that mean RockSound is against us now as well?
Though I have to admit it made me laugh how they copied the zzzzzz style.

I think that the answer is, yes, Rock Sound is against us (us being dedicated TH fans) too. I have a feeling that all media is hating us and going to hate us even more. The problem is, it must be a nightmare having all these requests for TH when they don't do interviews, release or play gigs. Even IF the mags wanted to (which a few mags like Kerrang, etc, don't) they can't feature TH anyway. The band don't cooperate with the media to give them info or interviews, there's nothing newsworthy about them as relates to the UK, and I doubt the magazines are that thrilled at being shunned.
So, in short, I don't blame them for getting fed-up of us. That's why we stopped contacting magazines and media over here - we don't want to alienate them.

Thought I'd throw this in here instead of making a new thread: “We Need Better Protection”
Wild fans meet Tokio Hotel everywhere: “It’s extremely hard to trust people”
Tokio Hotel has never been on a Swedish stage. Yet, they cause chaos among the fans every time they visit Sweden. They live in hysteria reminiscent of the one that boybands from the 90s. “From the day we released our first single, our lives changed completely”, Tom Kaulitz says to Nöjesbladet (Nöjesbladet = Aftonbladet’s entertainment section in the newspaper)
A Swedish representative from the label leads us to the top floor at Sheraton, and drop us off at the elevator door. We are greeted by a person from the German record label who soon introduces us to for yet another colleague. They accompany us to the last room in the corridor where two big security guards with ear pieces guard the doors. It’s easy to think that a G8 meeting take place at the central hotel in Stockholm. That’s of course not what it is. It’s not even Bono, Madonna, or Britney Spears. It is Tokio Hotel, four German teenage stars who just turned 20. They still have a quite a distance to go to become the biggest star in the music industry, but yet they have been surrounded by chaos since they were 15 years old,. “There’s a couple of very negative things with this whole (fame) thing but we like our lives the way they are, Tom Kaulitz says on fast spoken German with the translator speaking at the same time as the guitarist talks.
The decision have so far generated in six million sold CDs. But for four Germans who have lived more than one fourth of their lifetime in the spotlight the friends have become fewer. “Some friends are still there, but from the day we became public people, we have not gained any new ones. It is extremely hard to trust people,” Tom says.
Eight floors down, hundreds of fans, mostly girls, wait to see a glimpse of their heroes. Most of the fans have been waiting since 6 in the morning. And this visit to Stockholm is nothing unusual. In France, which is the biggest market for the band, Tokio Hotel travels with a five people strong security team in addition to tour managers, record label staff and their own stylist.
The chaos and always being surrounded by people is something Tokio Hotel has learnt to deal with. “You get a good feeling when we haven’t been here in a while and are met by people who like us. Otherwise we wouldn’t be able to stand doing interviews in a room all day long. But naturally, it also has an impact in our lives in other areas as well, such as you can’t walk outdoors in a normal way,” singer bill Kaulitz says.
Last spring Tom Kaulitz was reported to the police by a French woman in the group “les afghans on tour” who had followed around Tokio Hotel for a long time. She accused the guitarist for hitting her when she ran into him at a gas station asking him for a photograph. “That was certainly not a fan who did that. We have never had any bad experiences with fans. These are disturbed people with evil intentions and who we ran into when we were off from work” Tom Kaulitz says. The success have also resulted in consequences for the band members’ parents. In their attempts for privacy they have been forced to move several times. “We are trying to have as much privacy as possible. So far we haven’t succeeded. I guess we have given up a little but, Tom Kaulitz says. “I think that people who are in the same situation as us, It is on its way and I hope it will be in the right direction, Bill Kaulitz says.
Tokio Hotel’s close relationship to Sweden began in the summer of 2007. While planning for an English album release the record label brought over the band for a CD signing at Bengans in Gothenburg (It was Bengans in Stockholm actually) .
German Universal prepared their Swedish colleagues for chaos, 25-30 guards, paramedics in the store and standby ambulances. Lee Raita, marketing manager at Universal Sweden, took the instructions with a huge grain of salt. “We thought that they were exaggerating/hyping things up, but at the same time we figured it was better to be prepared in case something would happen.” He says. With 1000 fans showing up at the store things there was soon an uproar.. “We had to call in extra security guards all the time. It ended with us having 30 security guards there and the ambulance had to come. It was then we realized that this (Tokio Hotel) was more than just a internet hype., Lee Raita says.
Every since, the Swedish fans relationship to TH has intensified. Everything is characterized by an extreme loyalty. When Bill Kaulitz last year suffered a cyst on his vocal cords and the band were forced to cancel their first concert in Sweden, the fans organized a get well party at Hovet (the concert venue). “There aren’t many bands today that generate this kind of hysteria” Lee Raita says. “First and foremost it is because of the twins Bill and Tom. They are very charismatic. And I also think them singing in German makes it all a bit exotic”
While the band’s stylist fixes Georg’s hair. Tokio Hotel tells us that they will soon meet the Swedish fans for real. They still haven’t stood on a Swedish stage. “We will come to Sweden in the beginning of 2010” Bill Kaulitz says. And then, Universal’s Lee Raita will be prepared. “It’s been a very long foreplay. And when it finally will happen, it will be a hysteric/chaotioc concert” Joacim Persoon.

i didn't know where to post this either, so here will do

A pair of twins who only just turned twenty are leading Germany’s latest musical blitzkrieg. Bill and Tom Kaulitz are half of the emo-pop foursome Tokio Hotel, and with the release of their second U.S. album Humanoid this October, the European superstars seem poised to finally break into America’s mainstream.
Why is this group of Hot Topic Deutschlanders leagues ahead of the competition? Maybe it’s lead singer Bill Kaulitz’s thick Robert Smith makeup and Mad Max punk fashion aesthetic. Or does the combination of twin brothers (and self-described soul mates) in a band truly make for emo magic?
We talked to them about guitarist Tom’s secret hip-hop recordings(!), Bill’s Twilight obsession, and why they named their band after a city they’ve never even been to.
Entertainment Weekly: Did you ever think you would end up so successful so quickly?
Bill Kaulitz: No, we never, ever expected that. We came from a small village and there is no music business there. We never expected it—it was a lot of happy and lucky moments for us, and we are totally happy that we got the chance to do all this. There was never a plan behind it. We just did our thing and try to be good.
EW: Does your success change the way you approach writing music? Do you ever go into the studio thinking, “I should I try to write a hit”?
BK: We try to push the pressure away. It’s not good in the studio if you think, “Oh, I have to write a hit like ‘Monsoon’ or something.” You just go ahead and write your thoughts down. Just try to do things you love and I think then it’s always good. If you like what you do then it’s fine.
EW: Tom, I hear you’re into hip-hop—would you ever try to incorporate that into your sound?
Tom Kaulitz: Sometimes—we have a home studio—sometimes I secretly put down some beats, some guitar beats and stuff like that, but I never tried that in our music. And I’m not a really good rapper, so I never tried that. Maybe one day, maybe in ten years or something, but for now, no, that’s not the plan.
EW: When you perform in English it sounds quite natural, but do you have to think about each syllable as you sing?
BK: In the beginning, for the first English record it was really hard for me because I’m a perfectionist and I really wanted it to sound natural and not like a German who tries to sing in English. So it took some time in the studio but now it’s totally fine for me. It was like the beginning of Tokio Hotel. Ten years ago we started with that—we started with English and German songs—but the English ones were so bad. It was not good English, kind of embarrassing. But now I get really use to it. If I’m onstage, it’s totally my song.
EW: You also have very distinctive looks. Are there any fashion influences you look to?
BK: I don’t think so. I never had a role model or something. But as a kid I loved all the vampire movies, so that might be an influence.
EW: Are you enjoying the vampire popularity with Twilight and everything?
BK: Yeah, I really love this movie. Everyone was talking about it, and I was very late. I didn’t know about the movie, and then everyone is like, “you have to see it, you have to see it,” and I was like, “okay, okay.” Then I was on the flight to L.A. and I saw the movie on the plane and it’s really, really good.
EW: Being brothers, especially twins, does that make touring and recording easier, or do you ever find yourselves competing?
TK: I think it’s both maybe, but it’s completely normal for us to be together. We always have the same friends, we always have the same interests in everything. We’re just, you know, together 24 hours, everything a day.
BK: And I can’t—we can’t—live without each other. We are always together. We are like one person and like soul mates. We don’t have to talk.
TK:[/n] But if we fight, it’s a really tough fight. We take everything we find, like a table and a chair and everything. We fight.
BK: But it’s not that often, most of the time we are totally like one person.
EW: Is there anything you haven’t accomplished as a band that you’d love to?
TK: Uh, yeah, we want to play Tokyo.
BK: We’ve never been in Tokyo so far, so that’s one thing. And we want to play a world tour, that’s kind of a dream for us.
EW: So what’s with your love of Tokyo if you haven’t been there, what does it mean to you?
BK: I think we just heard about it and it’s like a huge city and of course it’s a cool sound: ‘Tokyo” sounds so cool. So that was the main reason why we chose it.
...
the bit about bill + tom and their fights. that was the cutest thing i've ever read

The wait was too long, too sad and too hard: more than a year without any news from TH! Did you think you died?Well, no…You can see them again at the top with their new single Automatic, extract from their next album Humanoid. Here are news from South Africa where they shooted in the desert…
SC: Hi guys! How did the shooting of the clip go?
Gustav: It was really special. There were no reception, nor standard, not even a tiny bar , no internet at all. The nearest village was more than three hours away. Tom: A place fill of surprises! When you imagine the desert, you think about sun and warmth, but in the night it was -5°. It’s the winter there… Georg: After the first day of shooting, we came back to the hotel that took us hours to reach. And the heat in Tom’s room didn’t work. Bill: All the beds had electric blankets, but naturally Tom’s didn’t work. Tom: After being agitated all night trying to get warmth, I discovered that there were no warm water when I was about to take a shower. But in the end, we are very happy about the clip because it’s hot! [laugh]
SC: Can you talk about the stalkers who harass you?
Bill: It’s a nightmare! Those French girls who called the Afghans on Tour insult us, threaten us and attack us! Tom: If out family is attacked, the the limit is reached. It’s not funny anymore…In the beginning of April our mother was assaulted in Hamburg. To gather proofs against them, mom started to take pictures with her cell phone. The girls grabbed her by the wrist and snatched the cell phone from her hand. She pressed charges at the police station…They want to drag us in court now-especially Perrine- for assault and demand 5000 € .But if they do that, we’ll press charges for harassment! Bill: We heard that other fans were attacked too. That is not cool…I have no idea what’s in their mind, but this have to stop.
SC: It seems that some fans are afraid that you don’t love them anymore because of these girls.
Tom: Fans have nothing to worry about. We’ll never put them in the same category. We know well that they’ll never do such things. On the contrary, we’re very thankful to them. Bill: What worries me also, is that some fans want to deal with the stalkers. A girl uploaded a video where she explains that she prepares an attack. She wrote: “ We want to go to Germany and make your lives a living hell…”There are also videos sayinf things like “We’re going to **** you” or “Let the hunt begin!” Tom: Don’t worry, the afghans are barricaded in Hamburg. Bill: Don’ worry, don’t worry…either case, fearing that they’d attack mom, we had to postpone the recording of the album, did you forget?
SC: You made a t-shirt sold at H&M to fight against AIDS.Why is it important for you?
Bill: We heard about this campaign, we are in sight so we can do things; engage ourselves for causes. It’s important, especially for the younger ones. Defending this cause by creating a t-shirt really pleased us and inspired us.
SC: What was your participation?
Bill: The design was my main job.So I took care of the design of the t-shirt. Tom: I made the slogan naturally! Bill: And I was really inspired by Tom’s slogan. Tom: Above all,we wanted to make a short and easy to remember slogan.
SC: What can you say to your fans about protection?
Bill: It’s very important because we think sex is a good thing. Tom: Yes. Bill: Each individual should be wary of it, and it’s not so difficult to put on a new condom every time [you do it]. With it, you can f*ck around, like my brother.
SC: What is your clothing style?
Bill: I am totally hooked with jackets. I have so much of these I lost count! From all colors and forms…Tom is more hip hop. Tom: A little bit retro. Bill: And this have nothing to do with the music but I always tell him he’s dressing like shit.He doesn’t want to listen to me.I will have to try and influence him more.In the future we’ve decided to wear the same t-shirts, so there’s hope… Tom: As you can see, the t-shirt is better on me. Bill: Yeah, totally.
What is your favourite piece of clothing?
Bill: Apart from jackets, I’m totally crazy about jewellery. I always have at least a suitcase, can be several actually, full of hundreds of silver rings. Tom: Bill also has exquisite knickers! Bill: LOL Tom: That is what you can qualify as a totally cute style…And he loves to decorate them with coins or things like that…On top of that he collections them!
Interview: H.DULAC
In the purple box: What’s new? • Their new single Automatic on Air since mid-september…Will be followed by the album Humanoid, expected on the 2nd of October. About Automatic, Tom said:”Bill and I had different opinions about the songs to put in the album but we didn’t have any difficulties choosing this song!” • Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg changed their look: Bill has black and white dreadlocks, Gustav wears glasses, and Georg rather got thinner…Less gothic, they are dressing in a more modern way with vivid colors. Bill is total manga grunge and Tom more R&B… • It seems that Tom is in love with the singer Chantelle Paige. Sniff…
