one of my internet friends got to interview lady gagagaaaaa;
just thought yous might want to read it
Q: Your fashion seems a bit extreme- do you wear the same clothes even when you are not performing?
LG: I’m always like this… I’m designing and writing music everyday
Q You said you are an outcast, how so?
LG: still an outcast – in some ways punk cultural misfit…still myself and sometimes culture needs a tongue that has swallowed me
Q: Describe your ideal man?
LG: He has to have really big hands….
Q: What are you wearing?
LG: The body suit is from Japanese designer- Dress camp, the collar was designed for me to wear in a photoshoot for the “Paparazzi” video, Chanel shoes, and makeup done by an amazing Korean makeup artist … when I came out in US, people looked at me quite funny…. Love avant-garde fashion and happy that it has become more mainstream
Q: What advice would you give to Korean artists who are trying to break into the U.S. market?
LG: Not just Korean but all new artists…. have to go through the hard work- hustling… I have been performing since 15 years old in NYC… start with the all of the smallest clubs over and over… move to large clubs and build the fan base… those are the fans will build you up….
Q: What is it like to be in Korea… this is your first time… what did you know about Korea?
LG: It’s exciting to be here…. My best friend is adopted from Korean. She speaks Korean. And when we were young, we used to go eat Korean food together. That friend has not come to Korea yet so I am sending her lots of pictures.
Q. What do you think of the fashion of Korean women?
LG: Planning a Fall tour with Kanye West and I would like to add some of the influences of Korea
Q. On stage, we see a lot of influences in your style…do you have a motto, a philosophy?
LG: I like to design every everything simultaneously- as a performance, stage, style, music…and I am inspired about street fashion fashion and attitude from NYC where I grew up… Andy Warhol is a strong influence and inspiration – pop art and design….
Q: Have you had a chance to hear about any Korean artists…
LG: I listened to some Korean pop artists on the radio on the drive from the airport…excited to see AJ perform tonight
Q: What do you think of the wig? (The Korean styled wig was presented as a gift)
LG: My style is misinterpreted as futuristic….This type of style with the braids is the organic and romantic type… I believe that there will be more of this style…..I actually collect wigs…it’s a taboo in the states that women wear wigs and they hide it…but in NYC, I like to wear wigs
Q: Is there something you would NOT wear in terms of fashion?
LG: Flip flops..there are some things I don’t like…. I get sent things that I don’t like and I wouldn’t wear because the designers don’t understand my style… my style is avant-garde and au couture… I am like any girl, there are some things that I won’t wear
Q What about your song writing for other artists?
LG: If i do a song writing session…it’s important to make them feel like star..for Britney (Spears)… some of the songs I wrote for myself… but when she requested it… I think it’s good to share… I am not narcissistic about it.
Q. Plans to release 2nd half of this year…and heard that one of the songs was inspired by a monster from Japan
LG: Tentatively the album is titled the “Famed monster” … Right now, I am obsessed with watching 50’s monster movies… darkness and fashion and theater… you will see in this album… you will see a more scary Lady Gaga…. As if i wasn’t scaring you enough
Q: Is there a possibility that you will be back in Korea again with the Kanye West tour?
LG: Possibly coming to Korea for some festivals in the summer.
(you can see the wig in the glass box next to her...)
