but if your in the core streetteam, you automatically get put on the guestlist and get to go in when their soundchecking
Sorry to butt into your thread everyone! I was just curious about the core ST. What do you get for being part of the core ST? And what do you have to do in return?
Just doing a little ST research. Elliot Minor seems to have the best ST around. Have ever since they started.

well the core one is ran by phil, one of elliot minor's managment guys and he keeps us updated through email and text.
there is about 40-50 people, hand picked from the main street team to be on the core one (phil just noticed the people who were doing most of the work). it used to be a secret, but most people told their friends so phil just made it public and made everyone on the core street team, street team leaders of different regions. so there is only about 2-3 members per city.
we do such things as;
-regular meet-ups (only regional ones as yet).
-handing out flyers (each time a new single is coming out, or something else new, we each get sent about 1000 flyers on the proper paper and stuff).
-phil sends us phone numbers and email address's and tells us times to phone/text them so that EM can get played on the radio/tv.
-for a new realease he sometimes gets some people to get in touch with newspapers.
-after gigs, he picks a few people to write a report on it (the same night) and get us to send them into the papers/online.
-regular things such as posting bullitens on myspace, having banners in sigs and stuff.
-gets us to do research about how 'big' elliot minor are in the media/local area..
and in return we get..
-the guys numbers/emails (always handy to have
)-lots and lots of flyers.
-were all getting a free t-shirt saying 'elliot minor street team leader' with a picture of them on.
-free necklaces/guitar picks.
-one free gig ticket per tour..
-get into the soundchecks/after parties when allowed by the venues (when you go to the soundcheck, teddy phones you and you meet him somewhere..)
-previews of songs/videos before they come out.
-there is a special core street team gig being planned for sometime later in the year.
-special messages from the guys.
now this compared to the normal street team who only get email updates 4-5 times a year compared to about 3-4 times a week.

edit: also, we get asked questions like 'what do you think the next single should be and why?' anddd 'what do you think the next video should be and why'.
and also, you get to be in the EM music videos.. take 'still figuring out' that was made up of almost all of the core street team and some of the regular one.. (it was in london so i couldnt be in it
)
