I want to learn Finnish, but after you two saying that its hard im not so sure

ha yeah... the only similar word I've found so far is 'bandi', meaning erm, band.

I'm drawing up verb tables now... *mops sweat off brow*

haha, when i listen to them speaking Finnish it sounds so complicated

the spelling of words changes depending what context they're in :S 'puku' is 'dress', but if I want to say something about the dress's colour, it becomes 'puvun vahri'; there's no possessive word... ahah sorry *is being dull*

That sounds very confusing, i'd be no good
But i guess if i go to Finland a lot then maybe i'll pick up a few phrases

I've been learning finnish for a matter of hours and I'm already better at it than I am at french, which I 'studied' for seven years. Gallic fail.

I love finnish/finland. In this case I was referring to the language my brain is happy to be doing something productive for the first time in aaaages... you can actually hear the rusty cogs creaking

Back in school, I always spent my free lesson in the library which was just opposite the school. Lovely place, btw. Anyway... I mostly passed the time reading through the Finnish phrasebook for some giggles. Gosh no, I couldn't learn that language. The book was good fun but it's just too much for me to grasp.

Btw, my name is a Finnish word: Susi = wolf

Mika is quite good in Finnish. She also randomly met Villa outside a club once. When she's less busy with College and stuff and has more time to post again she might come onto this thread.

Has anybody actually listened to some of HIM's Finnish songs?

I didnt know they did finnish songs. Though i have heard the 3 Agents songs that Ville sang on.

I seem to remember Ville saying they used to do Finnish songs and that they were kind of folklore. I also think I've listened to one ages ago... not sure though. It's been a while...

Ok, since I still didn't post, have a few videos. That's the performance that made me fall in love with HIM... especially Wicked Game! (Ah, I'm going to be late for work... *lol*) Really good sound and Ville's voice came accross amazingly.
