I think before the party, I'll go and buy a waffle..and go hmv or something in Whiteleys. It's so weird, I live near the club...well kinda, and I know the area really well too ;D
Does anyone know when we'll be recive our tickets...vip anyway?

Guys, I know how much it sucks when parents get like that but please remember they're only looking out for you. There's been so much stuff in the media of girls going missing from meeting people on the internet - as much as it seems they might be trying to ruin your fun, it's for your own good.
Don't fight or scream at them, trust me - that'll just give them the impression that you're not mature enough to go. Which is what we don't want.
Just calmy explain why you want to go - that you do know people that are going. Or, better yet ask if one of your parents will come with you if it's because they don't want you going on your own.
It might be embarrassing having a parent there, but I assure you - we usually have parents at meet-ups. We did at the April meet-up, and usually when parent's see that you will be safe in our large group then they'll probably arrange to meet you outside the place and go off on their own whilst you're inside.
But yeah, parent's, no matter how old you are, will always be protective of you, and yes they get pissed off sometimes but it IS because they care.
Just, trust me on this one, do NOT kick up a fuss because it'll make them more inclined to say no at a later date.
I know it's hard when you wanna go to something, and yeah it will piss you off. But like I said, don't go on and on and on about it every five minutes. Ask once, if they say 'no,' explain to them that there will be a large group of people there -- the majority of which are girls as well. There will be over 18's there who will be looking after everyone.
I'm sure myself, or any of the other admins would be happy to talk to your parents if they wish to make sure you'll be safe before letting you go. (And usually saying someone from the mod/admin team works is willing to talk and let them know that their child is gonna be safe helps!)

I'd be the exact same way, Jay - don't worry. Everyone has their moments, hehe. Me? I have them more often than not. No dead-line at the moment - I believe we'll be selling them until they're sold out. Like I said, if you want and if your mum agrees I can always give her a ring and let her know you'll be safe and stuff. *grin* Better yet though, is there anyone who'd come with you? A friend or something, they don't even have to like TH to be honest. They might end up as converts by 7PM. |
