lol @ the strand of hair on Bill's head sticking up out of place and being rebellious! That always makes me laugh, too. It distracts me sooo much... even at the beginning of the final (and second) performance of Durch den Monsun. (Ha ha, I just love how that guy, Elton, gets pulled off of stage.)
They were really all smiley and overwhelmed that day. So cute.

Ha ha ok. This will be loooong but since you’re asking…bear with me, I make it TH related, promised! ;D I’m just thinking I might as well do it properly and in some detail.
You could say that Elton was a creation by Stefan Raab. Now, you might know TV Total. Stefan Raab actually started out as a VJ for Viva when it first was launched on German TV (in 1993). He was somewhat geeky, no fashion sense whatsoever and always making an effort in coming up with stupid songs and being extremely annoying yet funny towards his guests and people he would interview. Very cheeky. Stefan Raab later introduced TV Total which is a mixture of funny bits and pieces taken from everything shown on German TV (similar to Harry Hills TV Blurbs but much better) and a talk show (a mix of Jonathan Ross and Simon Amstell interviewing people, I’d say, that’s the closest comparison I can come up with now *ha ha*). He can be acid-tongued and has p*ssed off lots of celebrities and people in general in the past but if they don’t take themselves too seriously and play along it can be hilarious. Either you like him or you hate him. To get an idea watch this *very off topic* compilation of interview bits with English speaking guests. Quite funny and if you got some spare time on your hands you might enjoy it. His English isn’t the best but he’s not afraid to use it (after all it adds to the comedy) and just talks away with English speakers, sometimes teaching them some German (Kylie is always fun on his show, btw), he’s not too talented when it comes to singing but he knows his way around in music and had several # 1 in Germany or top 10 hits. He uses all sorts of samples or whatever he comes across on TV and can make it a hit. He’s quite influential on Germans (e.g. if he asks people to vote for something or do things as a joke or whatever, they're very likely to do it). He created annual events like the Bundesvision Song contest (inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest, only Germany-wide) and the Stock Car Challenge which some of you might have heard of as Georg participated in October 2006 and TH performed “Der letzte Tag”.
As you can probably imagine, Tokio Hotel (and their hysterical fans) offer a lot for Stefan to make fun of them. Obviously *lol* and he pretty much takes up every opportunity. It’s mainly good fun though and the guys are always quite funny when they’re on his show. What amuses me are the comments you can find on youtube. Usually by TH haters or people that just don’t get them, e.g. they call the band stupid and that they would have nothing important to say. People don’t get the jokes the twins make about Georg etc. So it seems pointless to them. I always found the guys go very well alongside Stefan Raab and are actually quite clever about some comments or can laugh about themselves and be upfront and cheeky with him. Even if Stefan makes lots of fun about them (e.g. his version of DdM which had nothing to do with the original lyrics) he also seems to respect them in his way which I like.
One of my favourite bits, and Kiri knows about this as we were talking about it last year, is from the Echo 2007. Stefan had a little clip on his show featuring Bill. There are no subs so let me “brief” you. *ha ha* Around that time there was an incident with a teenage boy who had drunk himself into a coma and died. At the Echo 2007 the Ochsenknecht brothers (or Ox brothers, as Kiri likes to call them ), Jimi Blue is one of them, were supposed to present an Echo and took the opportunity to address this issue because it was really important to them. They certainly had good intentions and I agree it was important but it came across oh so wrong! I just thought it was ridiculous and embarrassing for them. The best thing about it was our dearest Bill. *lol* The Ox brothers started off by saying that things couldn’t go on like that any longer and then the older one, Wilson Gonzales, lifted his finger and said "Dear children (funny on it's own, considering he's 17, probably was 16 at that time), stop drinking! Keep your hands off of this sh*t!" and that's when Bill gets filmed. Brilliant. You can't plan things like that. Just his luck. I happened to see that clip when it was on TV Total and let me tell you as soon as the brothers started their speech I was sitting there cringing and feeling that it was uncomfortable to watch. My mouth opened slightly and you can tell people (adults!) in the audience are having a hard time trying to stay serious about it, too. Bill, in the end, expressed on his face just what most people were thinking, just he didn’t hide it. I pretty much looked the same. Well, after that clip Stefan comments it with something like Bill would have needed to down a drink after that shock. It’s short but worth watching for the look on Bill’s face alone. ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG3xZ0GmWe4
To get back to the question: Elton was introduced as Stefan’s intern. Apparently he was called “Elton” because of his resemblance to Elton John. From then on he was some kind of “side-show bob” for Stefan Raab doing whatever was asked, all kinds of jobs, e.g. going outside to play games with people which would be shown on the show in the evening. From that time Elton was established (I think he even had his own show at one point) and is mainly just annoying and stalking celebrities and people ever since.
He’s present on German TV quite a lot, e.g. with Tokio Hotel backstage at the Bravo Super Show 2007… greeting them as “Billy. Tom. The other two.” Then he goes “It’s a bit embarrassing…” and Tom asks “The event?” *rofl* No, of course not the event. Elton has got all that stuff for the guys to sign, apparently for his relatives and neighbours. Tom, however, suspects that it’s to get a chick into bed (pointing out the handcuffs *lol*) and to show off saying “Here, I know Tom!”. The pink book/diary is supposedly Stefan’s. That’s why Bill says “Awww, how cute… from Stefan.” and draws a little heart on it. The box of chocolates is for his (female) neighbour and he asks Tom to sign it with “in close friendship” which gets Tom to say “See, that’s what I was talking about. Yeah yeah, your neighbour.” So Bill suggests to call her “acquaintance” and Tom signs it with “for the acquaintance”.
So getting back to Elton being pulled off stage during that DdM performance at the Comet 2005: Stefan co-hosted the Comets and Tokio Hotel were guests on TV Total (for the first time, I believe) shortly after. Sorry I have no translation for it, though there might be one somewhere but forgive me if I’m not looking for it now. At approx. 2.12 min Stefan starts talking about Bill and Tom being twins, identical even and that you couldn’t tell from appearance alone to which Tom replies that it would be good that way. Stefan asks who of them “artificially changed” their hair, Bill says both of them, then Tom points out that Bill would always dye his and his wouldn’t be “artificial” but he had the dreads done four years ago and they would usually have kind of dirty blonde hair (the German expression is “Straßenköter-Blond” which literally translates into “mongrel blonde”). He somewhat innocently adds that it would be just a bit darker than Stefan’s hair colour. This was a dig at Stefan which as soon as he realizes makes him react the way he does. *lol* Anyway, Stefan loves it when Elton gets into trouble and he just thought it was the funniest thing ever that he got pulled off the stage, so of course he had to mention it to the guys. As I said Elton likes to stalk celebrities and I just loved Bill’s reaction while talking to Stefan (at around 5 min of that interview clip). As soon as Stefan mentions that Elton went on stage Bill bursts out laughing. Stefan summarizes it as one of TH’s securities must have thought “Who’s the fat guy up there? How did he get there?” and probably didn’t recognise him and pulled him off. So after they showed the clip, Bill says that he believes the security knew who Elton was but he was getting on their nerves the whole day long (in front of the hotel, to the bathroom with Georg) and seriously they just wanted him to leave them alone. I just love how they’re not even trying to make up excuses but are saying it in that straight forward manner that he was simply annoying them. Ha ha. I bet Saki was enjoying it veeery much. ;D I agree, there’s a very slim chance that he did not know who Elton was, you just know him in Germany just like you know Stefan Raab and considering that he was stalking the guys all day and it’s Saki’s job to look after them he must’ve known who he was. The sweet revenge of Saki.
To conclude this ridiculously long post, here’s the Durch den Monsun performance of that first TV Total appearance. It’s one of the rare performances on German TV that was really live and it was during the time Bill’s voice was breaking so this is kind of hard to watch (the first time I watched it I didn’t make it to the end) so don’t if you think you might find it difficult. Bless him for pulling through. It was so much effort. Also Kudos to all the fans (and the general Tokio Hotel hype) at the time. I believe, that actually helped them to make it through this time. Bad timing for a voice to break during the crucial first months of a band making it big. It gave so many people lots of opportunities to give them stick about it (e.g. saying they were no good live and Bill couldn’t sing.) but they made it despite all that.
Hope you enjoy the clips and excuse my rambling!

Aww, it`s not rambling Susi It`s good to have these things explained! Thanks ;D I love all the links! Bill`s face in that clip. LOL. Aww and bless him in the Durch den Monsun video. It must`ve been real hard for him when his voice broke. Like you said - especially at that time. It always amazes me how far they have come. They`ve been through so much, and taken more hate than any band I know - and at such a young age. And look at them now - they`re soaring! ;D Just goes to show that behind the glamour and the jokes, are four immensely talented and proffessional young people. Love them or hate them - no-one can take that away from them. While we are on the subject of videos - I just watched the latest TH TV and AWWWWWWWWWWWWW @ Bill sitting on Tom`s lap. How cute. ;D

OMG!! you weren't kidding when you said it would be long!!lol but anyway, it was an excellent read and really funny and i enjoyed it! (and i like details! ;D)
lol @ "Liebe Kinder" video, it never fails to amuse me!! (for some reason i thought Jimi Blue would be the older Ox brother, and btw Wilson Gonzalez has got some lusciously full lips! >.< - this bracket couldn't have been more unrelated to TH)
i've seen a few clips of Tv Total on youtube, some with subs, some without but always still funny Stefan Raab has his hilarious moments eg. his face and reaction to Tom's comment, as you pointed out, and his rendition of DdM and i love the moving platform with his desk and chairs for the guests! Does Elton actually call Bill "Billy"? that alone would annoy me if i were Bill! XD 'to the bathroom with Georg' lmao i bet Saki was dieing to tackle him!
thanks for that Midori!!! and thanks for telling us a little of what was being said in the videos cos i wouldn't have had a clue! ;p

D=! Aww, when he's trying to hit the high notes it looks and sounds painful. But well done for him getting through it, even though it was ages ago. :]

Part II of the TH Tour Diary has been posted. Unfortunately, it's (again) restricted to being viewable to only US citizens. However, somebody put it up on youtube and I suggest you watch it as soon as you can... before Mtv finds out about it and removes it. Tom comments all of it in English!!! Now, that's got to be worth listening to. I'm not sure I've ever heard him talk so much English in one go. Sure, he's reading but still his pronunciation is really good and I think has improved a lot. What do you think? Is it only me or do you also think his voice even sounds a bit "different" sometimes? Aww, I like Tom speaking English. ;D

anotherr.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxuvNeMqDOMTranslation : Bill (reads a sign where it's written 'Bill, wir lieben dich, du Stachelschwein'): "Bill, we love you, you porcupine? (*gives a WTF look and laughs*) You know that we're often traveling, time goes by too fast sometimes. And in the next song, I think there's one member of the group who's really worried, and it's my little brother Tom. (*cute smile of Tom after ('mein kleiner Bruder Tom')(and I think Tom's a little worried about what Bill's gonna say) He came to see me and told me that everywhere we went he let one of his personal objects to know that years later, there'll still be something from him there (Tom plays something funny to emphasize Bill's sentence and Bill laughs). But tonight I think we've proven it's not true, we all leave something behind, and tonight in Essen, we leave this concert and this tour because you carry it in the infinite/eternity". XD
